Buff Cake started with the dogs. We're a New Hampshire dog treat company making small-batch treats with simple, limited ingredients, and somewhere along the way we realized the humans behind the leash deserved something too.

That's how BCB Crew Wear happened.

What started with Buff Cake Barkery grew into an apparel line inspired by the humor, chaos and ridiculously strong bond that comes with sharing your life with a dog.

Some designs are funny. Some represent the pack. Some connect directly to Buff Cake. Others show off our New Hampshire roots.

But we don't want to put a paw print on a random shirt and call it dog apparel. There should be a reason behind it.

The sound of a treat bag opening from three rooms away. The dog who can't hear you yelling their name from ten feet away but somehow hears a piece of cheese hit the kitchen floor. Dog people get it.

That's the kind of humor we wanted BCB Crew Wear to have. It's not really about announcing to strangers that you own a dog. It's about wearing something another dog person sees and immediately thinks, Yep. Mine too.

BCB Crew Wear is different from the treats we make at Buff Cake in one important way.

We aren't standing in the Barkery screen-printing stacks of shirts between batches of Buff Nutter Bones.

Crew Wear is print on demand, which means your tee is produced specifically for you after you place your order. That allows us to create more original designs without producing a pile of inventory in every possible size, style and color and hoping somebody eventually wants it. It also helps reduce unnecessary overproduction.

It can take a little longer than pulling a mass-produced shirt off a warehouse shelf, but we're good with that tradeoff. You ordered it. Now it's being made for you.
